The experience of playing the new Zelda remake was often captivating, though muscle memory meant some puzzles were solved too quickly. While some players will appreciate the similarity to the original game, there is a question of whether Nintendo has played it too safe.

The developers do not appear to share this concern. Fujibayashi said: "Even if the game may look different, we've maintained the essence that the original developers wanted to and hopefully conveyed through the original Ocarina of Time."
The game contains several surprises and changes that will not be spoiled here, although more would have been welcome. As Mike noted: "I loved the original as much as the next person, but I don't think I'll be going back to it."
Fans are left wondering if further Zelda titles are planned, with the first film in the franchise arriving next year. When asked if Nintendo might remake the game again in 30 years, Aonuma said, with a laugh: "I will be long retired."
