Even today, there may be scattered moderate to heavy rains in some parts of the country. However, the trend is likely to increase in the next two days. Rainfall may continue for the next five days.
According to the weather forecast till 6 pm on Wednesday, light to moderate rain or thundershowers with temporary gusts are likely in many parts of Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions and some parts of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Sylhet and Dhaka divisions.
According to the Meteorological Department, Pabna, Dhaka, Faridpur, Madaripur, Jessore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mymensingh and Sylhet 45 to 60 kilometres per hour from south or south-east. There may be temporary gusts of wind or rain with thunderstorms or rain with thunderstorms. River ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1.
The forecast further said that the apparent light pressure in Uttar Pradesh and its adjoining areas is currently located in North-West Madhya Pradesh and its adjoining areas.
The more significant part of the monsoon wind axis extends to Rajasthan, the centre of apparent light pressure, Bihar, West Bengal and central Bangladesh to Assam. Most of it extends to the North Bay. The monsoon is moderately active over Bangladesh and moderates over the North Bay.
Meanwhile, the highest temperature of 35.6 degrees Celsius was recorded in Tertulia, and the lowest was recorded in Syedpur at 24.0 degrees Celsius.
