Jones described himself as a rugby obsessive. He said Williams left the strongest impression on him, citing his courage when dealing with the high ball.
"Every time I come to Millennium Stadium (sic), I have this picture of Liam Williams winning box kicks," Jones said. He added, "He was all elbows and knees, but he could do something brilliant in the game."
The Japan coach also praised the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. He commended the rebuilding efforts of Steve Tandy, specifically the leadership of Jac Morgan and Dewi Lake.
Jones believes that silencing the crowd in Cardiff could provide a psychological edge. He suggested that a powerful start to the game might turn the frustrations of Welsh fans into an advantage.

He encouraged supporters to continue backing their side, saying, "So, yeah, for the Welsh supporters, just keep backing your team." He then added, "But don't back them too much on Saturday."
