At Pittodrie, the side has struggled offensively, netting only three goals in their last six league matches, all of which occurred during a 3-1 win against St Mirren. The Dons are currently tied with the Buddies as the lowest scorers in the league, having registered just 12 goals.
Speaking on Premier Sports, former Scotland midfielder Michael Stewart remarked, "You do get that feeling it could now be curtains for Robinson." He added, "You get a sense sometimes with the nature of a result, it can be what finally pushes something to the point of no return."
Former Aberdeen defender Charlie Mulgrew and Alan Hutton agreed with the assessment. Hutton noted that the players appeared to give up late in the game, specifically citing the two goals conceded in the final six minutes against Hibs. He observed, "The reaction of the fans, to boo the team and manager, doesn't look great coming into an international break," adding that the team lacks a clear identity or plan.
Mulgrew questioned the manager's suitability for the club, stating, "I don't think Robinson seems to be the right fit for Aberdeen." He highlighted a lack of end product despite the use of wingers and noted that Kevin Nisbet appeared to lack confidence. Regarding the future of the Northern Irishman, who joined after successful spells at St Mirren, Mulgrew concluded, "I think that'll be the end for Robinson."
