Jobe Bellingham has received his first call-up to the England senior squad, a development described as an "incredible achievement for the family." The 21-year-old midfielder follows a career path similar to his 23-year-old brother, Jude, who is an England star and a key player for Real Madrid.

Both brothers emerged from the Birmingham City academy before securing high-profile moves to the German Bundesliga. Jobe made his debut for Birmingham at 16 years and 107 days old, which was 69 days older than Jude when he first appeared for the senior side. Jobe subsequently moved to Sunderland, helping the club secure promotion to the Premier League, before completing a transfer to Borussia Dortmund at age 19 for a fee reaching £31m. Jude had also joined Dortmund at 17, eventually developing into one of the world's premier players.
Jobe, who serves as captain of the England Under-21 team, wears 'Jobe' on his shirt to distinguish himself from his sibling. He explained that a former coach suggested the choice because "it shows that I'm going my own way." England manager Thomas Tuchel, who called the situation "a beautiful story," noted that the brothers are very close. Tuchel stated, "It makes life easier for Jobe to come into camp and know his brother is one of the key players in our team. So, that will hopefully help him, but don't forget he is here on his own merits, and he is not here because of his brother."
Tuchel confirmed that Young Lions head coach Lee Carsley had advocated for the younger Bellingham to receive senior recognition. He described Jobe as a standout player who has earned his place through consistent performance. According to Tuchel, the midfielder has found his rhythm at Dortmund, is a regular starter, and has delivered an excellent start to his season.
