New England Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson has attributed his recent absence to a set of unexplained neurological symptoms that led to his hospitalisation. The 24-year-old athlete was initially included on the team's injury report on 29 October due to illness and was sidelined for the victory over the Miami Dolphins last weekend.

According to the Patriots, Henderson did not participate in practice sessions ahead of the upcoming Sunday match against the Green Bay Packers and is anticipated to be unavailable for the game. The player has appeared in six matches this season, accumulating 203 yards from 52 rushing attempts along with one touchdown.
In a statement released on social media, Henderson said, "Recently, I experienced an unexpected and unusual medical emergency involving a series of unexplained neurological symptoms that required hospitalisation for several days." He noted that while he spent several days undergoing thorough medical evaluations, the origins of his condition remain unidentified.
Henderson stated, "During that time, I underwent extensive medical testing and evaluation. While the results of my comprehensive medical testing have come back positive and reassuring, the cause of this remains unknown and unexplainable." He added that he is working with specialists and physical therapists to address issues regarding his strength, co-ordination, and physical functions.
Concluding his statement, Henderson said, "I will continue working closely with specialists and physical therapists to focus on my recovery, as these symptoms have affected my strength, co-ordination, and some of my physical functions." He further declared, "I am committed to doing everything necessary to return to full health. My health and long-term wellbeing remain my foremost priorities."
