During the official weigh-in on Friday morning, Buatsi was initially measured one ounce (28 grammes) over the light-heavyweight limit. The 33-year-old subsequently hit the championship weight of 12st 7lb (79kg) on his second attempt after removing his clothing.
When the two boxers met face to face later that evening, Hutchinson made a derogatory reference regarding Buatsi being overweight. Buatsi, who earned an Olympic bronze medal in 2016, enters this contest with a professional record of 20 wins and one defeat.
Hutchinson, who became the first Scottish boxer to secure gold at an amateur World Championships, currently holds a professional record of 20 wins and two defeats.
