Comedian Russell Brand is being investigated over two new rape complaints, police said. The actor entered the glass dock at Southwark Crown Court in London on 14 October 2026, accompanied by his wife Laura. The trial marks the latest stage in a series of allegations against him.

Charges were first filed against Brand in early April 2025, comprising one count of rape, one count of oral rape, two counts of sexual assault and an allegation of indecent assault. At his trial the final charge was later altered to attempted indecent assault. All the accusations related to women who had spoken up after the initial Channel 4 documentary.
The following month, he appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court in London, where a swarm of camera crews delayed his walk to the courtroom door for more than two minutes. At a later hearing he entered a not‑guilty plea to the charges.
Women continued to come forward with further allegations. In July 2025, Brand gave his fourth interview before being charged again with one count of rape and one count of sexual assault, allegations he also denied.
