Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed deep grief over the death of legendary folk musician Fakir Alamgir.
In a condolence message, the Prime Minister wished peace to his departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family members.
The artist died of coronavirus (Covid-19) earlier at 10:58 pm on Friday (July 23) at United Hospital in Dhaka.
Fakir Alamgir’s son Mashuk Alamgir Rajib has confirmed the news of his death. At the time of his death, this mass music artist was 61 years old.
