Students of all the universities of Bangladesh are going on a big movement after Eid demanding immediate reopening of the university and normalization of educational activities. They have called for this collective movement on social media Facebook.
On March 16, 2020, all the universities in Bangladesh were closed due to the Corona epidemic. Since then, the universities have been closed for 14 consecutive months. Due to the long closure, there has been a long session jam in the universities. Meanwhile, the incidence of the Corona epidemic is constantly increasing. Although the university is scheduled to open on May 24, there is uncertainty as to whether it will be possible at all. As the days go by, the level of frustration and anger of the students is increasing. In this context, the students have called for this movement to demand the immediate reopening of the university.
A group called “All Universities Should Be Opened Immediately” has already opened on social media Facebook. So that more than half a million students from all the universities of Bangladesh are connected. It has called for a tough movement if all the universities are not reopened by May 24.
The students said, “No university in Bangladesh has the capability and technical skills to take online exams. It is a kind of recklessness. We have been bullied in the name of online exams. It is nothing but a waste of time. The Ministry of Education has decided to close the university.” Students think ”
